The Haze is spreading

Odelia was her firstborn. Just like her on that age, she liked to explore. Curiosity was her best quality and she had passed it onto her 7-year-old daughter. The woods that bordered their picturesque village was teeming with flora and fauna. Small and delicate and wonderful creatures thrived there under the guiding hands of caretakers from the village, like herself. It was the ideal place to raise her child, so that one day she might help maintain the balance between green and white mana, just like her mother.

“Mama, mama! Look at this pretty flower”. Her daughter pointed at a purple-pronged flower at the foot of a small mound. Strange… she had never seen this colour before. Before she could warn Odelia, the flower seemed to open up and exhale a pinkish haze. The world around her turned dark, and with heavy eyes, she fainted and tumbled to the ground.
